Haggis, Neeps, and Tatties

Let's try this blog thing one more time.

As most of you know I am now living in a little town called Edinburgh in Scotland. I flew across the ocean, moved into a great flat above an organic food store and got a "lovely" job at Starbucks. Why? All because I wanted to live the life less ordinary. Well these last four months have been anything but ordinary. I have fallen down a flight of stairs, been robbed twice, worked long hours and met some very unique people. So far this trip has been an experience.
The lack of blogging has been due to the fact that my computer and camera were stolen and the lack of calls... well that is also a result of the thief. Luckily, the great Scotland police and their Sherlock Holmes detective work they were able to catch the gypsy thief and get my stuff back to me. It was funny when I got my camera back the robber was so nice to have left a few self portraits on my digi cam. Bless him.
Anyways, enough with my woes of life on to my travels. Last week, I was able to make my first trip out of the United Kingdom to Rome, Italy and Paris, France. Rome was our first stop, to see my dear friend Valeen (Nalgen) Mitchell. We had amazing weather, I was able to pick up a nice little tan. While visiting Rome I was able to see Vatican, Sistine Chapel, Colosseum, Pantheon, and some of the "friendly" neighborhood Gypsies. I was a little disappointed in the food, I am not gonna lie had a better pizza at the Hut then in Italy.
After four days in Rome we (Valeen, Mark, and I) headed to Paris to meet with our friend Tyressha who is studying in Greece. With my metro map and tour guide knowledge we hit the town. I think we walked for about three days straight seeing the Eiffel Tower, Arc De Triumph, The Tulleries, The Louvre, and so much more. We ate lots of good food. Though, this was my third trip to Paris it was great to be able to show my friends the sights.
Now I am back in Edinburgh getting ready to head back to work. My plan is to stay here through mid June and then travel hard core for about a month and a half. I am hoping to go to Prague, Cinquea Terra Islands, Salisbury, Portugal, Spain and more please let me know if you have any traveling suggestions as to places to stay and sights to see.
Please continue to check my blog as I plan to update it often.
